Driven by her kind heart, a compassionate woman ventures forth, determined to seek out a family of forsaken cats, with the fervent hope of granting them a renewed lease on life
Kayla Trolle has only one mission in life: to help cats in distress. Last July, she flew to the rescue of a family of abandoned felines, and moved heaven and earth to try to give them a new start.
Kayla Trolle has fragile health. At the age of 38, the American has already undergone 2 heart transplants, suffers from an autoimmune disease and several chronic conditions. However, this does not prevent him from being a guardian angel for animals in need.
An infallible commitment
Indeed, the kind-hearted woman is part of the Danbury Animal Welfare Society , the Looking Glass Animal Rescue and other rescue associations. His goal ? Provide veterinary care to cats in distress, and find loving homes for them.
Kayla does not hesitate to travel many kilometers to get to their bedside, but last July, it was a few steps from her home – in the community of Lake Waubeeka – that the 30-year-old flew to the rescue of a family of felines.
4 cats in distress
On July 26, around 11 p.m., Kayla learned via social media that 3 abandoned kittens and their mother were near her home. She did not hesitate to go out and start looking for them.
” It really upset me, she confides to the News Times , because I thought of the monster who had done this to them, but I regained my faith in humanity when many people came to help me. »
5 days of research
Kayla needed 5 days to find the young cat and her offspring. Using humane traps, she managed to get her hands on each of them. Unfortunately, one of the kittens did not survive being abandoned. The latter suffered from “severe anemia and hyperthermia “, recalls Kayla .

The other 2 kittens, invaded by ticks and fleas, managed to recover after a few days. Kayla chose to name them Fairose and Faith .
At the end of the 5th day of research, the mother cat decided to show the tip of her nose, and was able to be brought to safety after receiving numerous treatments. “ She had many ulcers in her mouth , inflammation, damaged teeth… She was in great pain. She received antibiotics and painkillers ,” says Kayla .

The mother cat, named Jacy , has joined the household of Kayla ‘s neighbors Lenny and Suzie Stein . The feline is doing better day by day. “ I love cats. Helping them gives meaning to my life. Seeing Jacy and her kittens flourish confirms to me that we are capable of doing great things together ,” concluded Kayla .
