Jada Hamby is the owner of a small shop. One day a kitten appeared on the property behind the shop. She got worried and called the rescuers to pick it up and find it a suitable home.

Volunteers and rescuers came to the scene several times. However, they were never able to catch the kitten. It was so nimble that it came up with different escape routes and tricks each time.

The cat was given the name Dumpster. That’s where the shopkeeper found it. But Dumpster wasn’t about to leave the place.

It liked living behind the shop so much that it had no intention of changing anything. Clearly happy with its habitat and its overall existence as a cat!

In the end, the rescuers and volunteers decided that it would be best to take the cat to be neutered and then return it to its favorite place. The kitty, by the way, also happens to be blind. So it knows its area behind the shop very well, and it seems to be 100 percent happy with it.

Jada and the shop staff have taken it upon themselves to look after the cat. They take it to the vet, feed it and pet it. “Every morning, Dumpster greets us with a meow and waits for food. It loves to socialise,” says Jada.
