Meet Nobby, the adorable little pup who unfortunately came into this world without front legs. Imagine being only four hours old and already facing the possibility of being euthanized by the vet. It’s heartbreaking to think about, but thankfully, Nobby’s story has a happy ending.
Nubby’s human made a firm and resolute choice.
Nobby’s journey began on a difficult path. He had a physical disability of being born without front legs which made him struggle to reach his mom for feeding. Despite his mother’s acceptance, his siblings didn’t allow him to eat. To add to his misery, the vet suggested euthanasia at just four hours old, which was a heartbreaking decision.
Lou Robinson, a resident of Texas known for adopting and tending to stray dogs with her husband, Mark, decided to take a unique approach this time around. Despite being advised by the vet to let them handle Nobby’s care, Lou and Mark opted to look after him themselves. Thus, they brought the homeless pup home, where they dedicated themselves to providing him with constant love, support, and nourishment through a bottle.
Initially, it seemed that Nobby was thriving as his bodily functions became more apparent. According to Loui Robinson, “He began to open his eyes, his ears were growing, and he even started barking. He developed the ability to distinguish various scents and recognize different voices.”
Suddenly, a shift occurred in the situation. Nobby, who was not even a month old, had an abrupt onset of sneezing. Along with this, he experienced constipation and there were minuscule bubbles emanating from his nostrils.
Following an X-ray examination, it was discovered that Nubby was experiencing some complications with his esophagus. To address this, Nobby was prescribed antibiotics and placed in an incubator. The initial prognosis was not promising, but to everyone’s surprise, Nobby exhibited a remarkable determination and resilience that set him apart from others.
Despite facing numerous obstacles, Nobby refused to throw in the towel. He persevered, and his foster parents fought alongside him every step of the way to ensure that he had a chance at a fulfilling life. Thankfully, Nobby’s condition improved over time, and now, three years later, this remarkable young boy has proven himself to be an incredible survivor.
Although there are still challenges that Nobby must overcome, he serves as a shining example that with determination, anything is possible. The Robinsons have even set up a Facebook page dedicated to sharing updates about Nobby’s adventures, so that others can continue to be inspired by his story.
Based on the recent updates and photos, it appears that Nobby is doing exceptionally well. He has developed into a resilient dog who enjoys playing and exploring new things. Additionally, he now has his very own wheelchair to help him move around with ease.
Nobby is undoubtedly an inspiration to many. Despite his unique circumstances, he demonstrates that being different should not hold one back in life.
